SIP strives to engage, influence and connect individuals and families with resources, education, and training through a variety of collaborative efforts and partnerships resulting in exposure to opportunities that will transition them into a condition of empowerment and self-determination.
Our Purpose
Empower people while impacting the world.
Our Why
Since its inception, SIP has been on the move assisting individuals and families providing free individualized services, information, resources, and emotional support needed to positively enhance the independence and productivity in our community. SIP supports all ages and backgrounds throughout the Greater Baton Rouge area extending throughout the southeast region of the United States.
Feature Event:
The exhibition is celebrating the collaboration between Ellemnop Art and The Stitches Group. The Stitches Group is a consortium known for its advocacy in mental health awareness and support. They courteously present The Mental Health Art Gallery, a space dedicated to promoting the therapeutic aspects of art. The gallery provides the perfect sanctuary for Banks’ explorative art.
Each piece in the collection serves as a waypoint in Banks’ odyssey—a symphony woven from the threads of liberation, authenticity, and profound introspection. Visitors are not just spectators but participants in a shared experience, as each artwork becomes a mirror, reflecting inner narratives and unspoken truths.
Stepping into the gallery, one does not simply view art but enters into a silent dialogue with the soul—a transformative interaction that lingers beyond the confines of the visible. Whitney Banks’ exhibition is an invitation to discern and dismantle the constraints we place upon ourselves, a journey to recognize and release the art within.
Currently on display at The Mental Health Gallery. Proceeds from every art purchase is used to further the mission of @s.i.p.initiative
