The SIP Initiative comes into fruition through the collaborative efforts of Dr. Jeremy Lucas & Mrs. Deatra Peoples Blunt.
Dr. Blunt is a US Army Veteran with over twenty-five years of experience working with “at-risk” youth. He also has over twenty years experience teaching personal and professional development. With almost two decades of being on the frontline of the battle to save our youth and empower people, Dr. Blunt has a passion to see a more effective and lasting change in the lives of the people being served.
Mrs. Blunt has spent over twenty years working in the medical and social services field to provide children, youth, and families throughout the state with resources, training, and education. She is also a leader with the Outstanding Mature Girlz Organization where she teaches and mentors young girls.
Dr. and Mrs. Blunt’s work and dedication to the community has helped to equip, encourage, and empower everyone they meet. Collectively they agree on limited results due to outside factors not being able to be addressed.
Through a series of collaborations with community leaders, faith-based and nonprofit organizations, SIP has been able to provide training and education to the community by way of virtual training, podcast talks and mask giveaways during the global pandemic. Through the proven success of signature events like “The STEALTH Holiday Project” and “Feeding the Deserving” community projects, Dr. and Mrs. Blunt presents the SIP Initiative.
